Magical numbers :Cyclic numbers

Image
The cyclic numbers are the numbers which when multiplied with any other number yields the same number but in some other form. The first cyclic number is 142857, which can be easily remembered as the final output of 1/7. 1/7 = 0.142857142857... So as we can see 142857 is repeated in the division 1/7, and can be easily remembered by this method. 142857 x 1= 142857 142857 × 2 = 285714 142857 × 3 = 428571 142857 × 4 = 571428 142857 × 5 = 714285 142857 × 6 = 857142 Now as we can easily see the number is just in the cyclic form in all the multiplications. For multiplication of the integers above 7, we follow the procedure given below: 142857 × 8 = 1142856 1 + 142856 = 142857 142857 × 815 = 116428455 116 + 428455 = 428571 So as you can see this number is very magical!!! Magical number :73

Image
Seventy three is a magical number and has so many strange properties that are rare to be found in many of the other numbers. The digits of 73, '7' and '3' when multiplied yield 21, and 73 is the 21st prime number!!! Also the reverse of 73 yields 37 which is the 12th prime number which is also a reverse of 21!!! Finding out the binary form of 73 yields 1001001 which is a palindrome!!! And that's not all 37 + 12 = 49 (seven squared) and 73 + 21 = 94 = 47*2, 47+2 also being equal to 49. This similar phenomenon or the magical property of 73 was also mentioned in "The Big Bang Theory". That's all for this edition of magical numbers, stay posted for more such numbers.

MICROSOFT JOINS THE EFFORT TO RID THE WORLD OF IE6

IE6 DEVELOPED BY MICROSOFT OVER 10 YEARS AGO IS STILL BEING USED BY 12% OF THE INTERNET USING POPULATION. IT IS A HIGHLY UNPOPULAR BROWSER AND IS BEING REGARDED BY MANY AS "THE BROWSER THAT IS HOLDING THE WEB BACK". GOOGLE AND FACEBOOK HAVE MADE THEIR INTENTIONS CLEAR TO STOP SUPPORT FOR IE6. WITHIN THIS YEAR GOOGLE PLANS TO REMOVE IE6 SUPPORT FOR GOOGLE DOCS AND GOOGLE SITES WHILE FACEBOOK PLANS TO REMOVE SUPPORT FOR FACEBOOK CHAT. FOR THE END-USER THE IE6 EVEN THOUGH IS LOW ON FEATURES MAY NOT SEEM TO BE MUCH OF A PROBLEM BUT FOR THE DEVELOPERS IT IS A BIG ONE AS THEY HAVE TO GO THROUGH EXTRA EFFORTS TO MAKE THE WEBSITES LOOK AS GOOD AS THEY DO IN THE NEW BROWSERS. MICROSOFT EARLIER SAID "FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS USE IE6". MICROSOFT HAS NOW LAUNCHED AN ENTIRELY NEW CAMPAIGN. THEY HAVE CREATED A NEW WEBSITE (  http://www.ie6countdown.com/   ) WHICH MONITORS THE IE6 USAGE ACROSS THE GLOBE. THE SITE IS DEDICATED TO WATCH THE WORLDWIDE USAGE TO LESS THAN 1%. I U
